February 2, 2012 – January 27, 2012 coin dealer Dr Hubert Lanz from Munich was assailed and robbed in Hilversum, Netherlands. He had made an appointment in a public restaurant with supposed representatives of an investment company from Islington, London. The delinquents escaped in a car with a license tag beginning with DO (Dortmund? Dornbirn?).
101 coins were stolen, in addition ca. 600 g of bullion coins, 2 Krugerrands and a box with cheap ancient coins.
