January 8, 2015 – You know everything about world coins? You breeze through distinguishing an Uzbek coin from a Tajik issue? And you are looking for a challenge? In that case you may be interested in a little online coin quiz.
At Sporcle a coin collector has made available an online quiz. The task is to recognise the issuing country of twenty coins. No need to say that the names of these countries were removed from the coins previously. Too easy? Well, we should mention that additionally there is a time limit: you have got five minutes. (But a pause button allows you to take a short walk to your Krause-Mishler in case of need.) When you are finished the KM numbers are revealed. That means, though, that you don’t know where the coins come from but at least you are encouraged to have a look at the catalogue. Apparently there are only these twenty coins for the time being. But if there are many passionate players maybe the quiz will be extended?
