June 11, 2013 – In 1967 the screwball comedy “Who’s Minding the Mint” told the story of an employee (Jim Hutton) of the Bureau of Engraving and Printing – actually the film is not really about the mint, but this is certainly no real flaw when speaking of this genre – who destroyes accidentally $50,000 and tries to replace them by printing on his own account the same banknotes by night. Of course things turn out to be much more difficult than expected – and these difficulties are what the film is about. Now “Who’s Minding the Mint” has been released on DVD.
