September 7, 2017 – Since 1997 the Fitzwilliam Museum has hosted the online Corpus of Early Medieval Coin Finds (EMC), which has recorded nearly 12,000 finds of coins dated between 410 and 1180. EMC is an essential source of information for archaeologists, historians, detectorists, and anyone interested in medieval coin finds. This conference will explore discoveries that have been made using EMC, and prospects for future work on coin finds.
The registration fee for the conference (with lunch provided) is £20.00 (or £10.00 for students in full-time education).
