March 9, 2017 – On November 1, 1700 the childless King of Spain died, leaving behind a huge empire. The issue of who its future ruler should be electrified all important princely courts. Everybody sniffed a chance to secure himself a small part of the Spanish Empire. The War of the Spanish Succession is an old-style cabinet war, centered upon advantages, proportionality, and the art of warfare.
