Numismatic Puzzle: Harald Bluetooth

[bsa_pro_ad_space id=4]

In the 10th century, Harald Bluetooth introduced a standardized coinage system in Denmark. His half-bracteates were wafer-thin, which is why the motif struck on the reverse could also be seen on the reverse. This coin was created in the trading centre of Hedeby after a model of Charlemagne. It depicts a temple facade, which testifies to the Christian faith of the Viking ruler.
