This auction opens with 561 lots of coins, including further selections from the BCD Collection of Thessalian coins.
Lot 544: Anglo Saxon, Kings of Wessex. Eadred, 946-955. AR Penny. Bust Crowned (BC) type. Uncertain mint. Ex Collection of an Underwriter. Very fine. Estimate: 1500 USD.
It also includes a number of rare Roman Provincial from central Greece, and a selection of early English rarities.
Lot 874: Lochner, Johann Hieronymus. Samlung merkwürdiger Medaillen… (Nürnberg, 1737-1744). In eight volumes. Hardbound in quarter vellum with marbeled boards. Ex Libris Liechtensteinianis and Phiroze K. Randeria. Very fine condition overall. Estimate: 750 USD.
