Stack’s Bowers and Ponterio have announced the results of their Spring Hong Kong Auction shows 2019. Total prices summed up to $6,969,395. Top lot was a Chinese 2 Yuan Proof banknote sold for $240,000.

Zurich-based auction house Leu Numismatik will be holding their Auction 4 on 25 May 2019. This is Leu’s largest room sale to date featuring 925 lots comprising special collections and many items with excellent provenances.

Ibrahim Salem is a true titan of the notaphilic world, having built a collection of 150,000 notes over decades. Spink is offering a first part of the collection of British Commonwealth Notes on 17 April 2019. Over 250 selections of the notes have been certified by PMG.

Cayón Subastas held another auction “out of the order” in Madrid, Spain, on 20 February 2019 featuring general Spanish coins and special collections. Some items saw spectacular results like a Carlos III 8 reales 1789/8 estimated at 400 euros sold for 6,120 euros.

Künker, D-Osnabrück

11-15.3.2019 – Auctions 318-321 – More than 2,500 bidders took part in Künker’s four spring auctions where about 6,900 lots were auctioned off. Collectors and dealers significantly topped the estimate of 5.9 million euros with sales worth 9 million euros, thanks to, amongst others, a 6-ducat coin from Regensburg with a detailed view of the city, which came in at 240,000 euros.
