Canada repurchases the Victoria Cross – as national heritage and patriotic symbol
An unknown buyer paid 660,000 CAD for the Victoria Cross of David Vivian Currie. The problem was that the buyer was not Canadian. The Canadian authorities thus prevented the export. Meanwhile the money has been accumulated and the order will stay in Canada.
