1040672: Austria. Tirol. Sigismund. (Archduke, 1439-1496). 1953//1486 AV Medallic 16 Ducats, Klippe. PCGS MS65. Vienna. 55.88gm. Full standing figure of the Archduke holding scepter and lowered sword, a lion support with shield, to left and plumed helmet to right. Restrike date 1953 below his feet / Plumed and armored Archduke with sword raised, advancing right on galloping horse, right, date below, all within a ring of shields of his domains.
An official restrike stamped with Serial #21 (25 struck). Superb lustrous gem.
Housed in an oversized holder. Includes original case and letter from the Austrian mint noting that this is striking #21 of 25 minted. $15,950
