On August 1 and 2, 2014 St. James’s Auctions in association with Classical Numismatic Group and cataloging by M. Louis Teller Numismatic Company are conducting the sale of The Richard L. Lissner Collection at the Chicago Marriott O’Hare. In addition to the important coins, one should not overlook the exceptional and diverse offering of minor silver and bronze issues.

St. James’s Auctions, LLC (Knightsbridge Coins), of London, England, in association with Classical Numismatic Group, Inc., of Lancaster, Pennsylvania and London, England, and cataloging by M. Louis Teller Numismatic Company of Encino, California, are conducting the sale of “The Richard L. Lissner Collection: The Collection of an American Connoisseur” on 1-2 August 2014 at the Chicago Marriott O’Hare, just prior to the annual summer convention of the American Numismatic Association in Rosemont, Illinois.

Information for lot viewing, the virtual online catalog, online bidding, and ordering the printed catalog is available at CNG’s website under the Printed Auctions category.

In addition to the important coins coming up in the Lissner sale, one should not overlook the exceptional and diverse offering of minor silver and bronze issues. Acquiring the less expensive coins in top condition is often more of a challenge than acquiring the important pieces.

We have selected 10 pieces of note from among the various fractional issues in the Lissner collection
