27.2.-5.3.2019 - Official Whitman Spring Expo Auction - The Stack’s Bowers Galleries Official Auction of the Whitman Spring Expo from February 27 to March 5 realized $20,848,000 in overall prices. Headlined by the Fairmont, Greenway, and Twin Leaf collections, the sessions were full of US rarities.

28.2.2019- Joel R. Anderson Collection of US Paper Money Part IV - Stack’s Bowers Galleries offered Part IV of the Joel R. Anderson Collection of US Paper Money and achieved nearly $8 million. Thus the total prices realized for the collection raised to $34,126,980 making it the most valuable US paper money cabinet ever sold at auction.

Artifacts from the Armstrong Family Collection, which was entirely certified by Collectibles Authentication Guaranty, realized an incredible $5,276,320 at Heritage auction, November 1-3, 2018. The sale included a number of space and lunar module-flown medals.

Stack’s Bowers Galleries’ Joel R. Anderson Collection Part III Auction realized over $8.6 Million. Highlight during the Whitman Coin & Collectibles Winter Expo sale in Baltimore was a 1890 $1,000 “Grand Watermelon” note that was sold for more than $2 million.

Stack’s Bowers Galleries held their Official Auction of the Whitman Coin & Collectibles Winter Expo in Baltimore from October, 24-30, 2018. Highlighted by the Archangel Collection of Colonial and 1792 Coinage, the sale featured a parade of exceptional rarities.

On 20 October 2018, Stéphane Palombo held his 17th numismatic auction in Geneva. Among the 714 lots there was selection of high value ancient coins, including several from the well known A.A. collection. A gold stater set a new record price for a Roman Republican coin.

From 5-12 October 2018 Auction house Künker offered many special collections and rarities from various fields of numismatic interest. Watch the results of auctions 311-315 in these films.

A representative issue to the weight of 20 ducats, minted on behalf of Bavarian Duke Charles Albert in 1739 sold for 200,000 euros. And that was not the only spectacular price realized at Künker’s fall auctions.

Bob Lyall’s collection of cut and countermarked coins produced a classic ‘white glove sale’ at Dix Noonan Webb on 25 September 2018. The auction’s star was the only recorded countermarked 22 Guilders from Essequibo & Demerara which sold for £55,200.

Stephen Album Rare Coins held its Auction 32 on September 13-14, 2018 at its offices in Santa Rosa, CA. The auction realized $1.54 million (total hammer price including buyer’s fees) and a world record for a particular Kuang Hsu Kirin.
