Noel, Caleb P.

Editor-in-Chief of The Numismatist.

Caleb P. Noel (*1991) studied art history at the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs from 2012 to 2015. That’s where he earned his bachelor’s degree. His work “William Blake and the Iconography of Innovation” was published in the UCCS Undergraduate Research Journal. In 2014 he studied temporarily at the University of Reading in England. In 2015 he was Writing Fellow at the University of Colorado and mentored students in the art history department’s “Contemporary Art” course on their final research projects.

During his studies, Caleb Noel interned at various art galleries and museums in Colorado Springs. He also worked as freelance photographer from 2012 to 2016.

Between 2013 and 2015, Caleb Noel was Museum Student Assistant at the Money Museum of the American Numismatic Association (ANA), which is also located in Colorado Springs. He has been working for the ANA ever since. In 2015 he joined the editorial staff of The Numismatist, the ANA’s members’ magazine. He was Editorial Assistant from 2015 to 2016, News Editor between 2016 and 2018, and Managing Editor from 2018 to 2020. When long-time Editor-in-Chief Barbara Gregory retired in April 2020, Caleb Noel took over this position and is now heading the editorial staff of The Numismatist.
