Strong results at Stephen Album Rare Coins Spring Auction
Stephen Album Rare Coins held its Auction 28 on May 18-20, 2017 at its offices in Santa Rosa, California. The total price realized was $1.495 million (including buyer’s fees) on an estimate of $1.12 million. The sell through rate was at 85.6%, with particularly strong results with coins from China and India.

Lot 789: Qing, Xian Feng 1851-1861. AE 100 cash. Fuzhou mint. VF. Estimate: 1,200-1,400 USD. Realized: 8,000 USD.

The company’s COO Mike Barry commented that he was pleased with the results. “We were pleasantly surprised with the results on the Chinese charms and on the Indian coins. It appears that the market in these areas may be on the rise once again.”
The firm is now taking consignments through June 30 for its Auction 29 on September 14-16.
