New Journal of Ancient History and Archaeology

December 19, 2013 – In March 2014, a new online journal dedicated to the world of Archaeology and Ancient History named “Journal of Ancient History and Archaeology” (JAHA) will be released under the patronage of the Romanian Academy – Institute of Archaeology and Art History, the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca and the Mega Publishing House, all from Cluj-Napoca, Romania.

The journal will be a non-profit publication with free access. The intention is to have four issues per year. All the materials will be published in English.

JAHA is seeking to publish profound, rigorous, well-written, high-quality, high-impact papers to generate discussion, debate, fresh perspective.

The research area is the European continent and the Near East in the Greek-Roman times. The topics are: Ancient History, numismatics, ancient philology, epigraphy, papyrology, archaeological material, archaeological reports, digital archaeology, archaeometry, reviews.
In order to establish a high academic statute of this journal and to be monitored by the highest research platforms, ISI/Thomson & Reuters, ERIH, SCOPUS, COPIERNICUS, the “technical” aspects for a journal have also been ensured, e.g. a DOI cross-reference system will be acquired, an CNCSIS accredited Publishing House (Mega Publishing House) is a partner in this enterprise.

JAHA encourages scholars to contribute with their works, and will be grateful to you, if you can recommend for publication works of your collaborators: scholars and graduates students.
