January 21, 2014 – The Mexican Mint (Casa de Moneda de México) has announced that Mr. Guillermo Hopkins Gámez has been appointed as General Director, thus Mint Master, as of January 13th, 2014.
Mr Hopkins Gámez was born in 1954 in Magdalena de Kino, Sonora, and graduated in Political Sciences and Public Administration Studies from the Universidad Iberoamericana holding another master in Public Administration form the University of Colorado. He had been elected a federal deputy and a senator of the Republic to parliament and has served for a long time in various sectors of Mexico’s public administration.
