March 12, 2013 – The new offices of the 152-year-old Mint of Finland, which has operated out of the Bank of Finland building in Turvalaakso, Vantaa since 1988, will be built in the K3 Logistics region in Viinikkala, Vantaa. The new building will be owned by Mint of Finland and it is built in collaboration with YIT Construction Ltd. YIT began construction work at the site in August 2012 and Mint of Finland plans to start operations at the new offices in the summer of 2013.

‘We wanted to renew our offices to fulfill today’s needs and make the expansion of production possible. We looked into many options for the location of our offices and the K3 region turned out to be the most suitable. In collaboration with YIT we produced an office solution tailored to our needs,’ says Paul Gustafsson, the Managing Director at Mint of Finland.
Mint of Finland continues as the second project to build the K3 Logistics region. The K3 Logistics region developed by YIT is situated in between the Ring Rail, the Airport Rail and Ring Road III, which also gives the region its name. K3 Logistics offers a diverse space for different logistics operators and due to its almost 30 acre size makes it possible for significant and comprehensive groups to locate in the area.
‘The construction of Mint of Finland project in the area speaks of the K3 location’s strength and compatibility with a range of needs. We are very happy to be able to offer Mint of Finland and other future operators in the region diverse offices in such a central location and with good transport connections,’ says Jukka Hanhilahti, Director of Logistics Construction Services at YIT.
