March 3, 2011 – The Financial Services committee of the Congress has voted for a plan of action, which will be accomplished within the next two years. They have listed a number of financial issues, among them the combat of counterfeit coins from home and abroad.

The list of issues is long and there is no information, when which theme will be discussed. The reference to Chinese fakes is hidden. The action plan only states that it will discuss “efforts to detect and combat the counterfeiting of U.S. coins and currency in the United States and abroad.” The committee “will examine the counterfeiting of rare or investment-grade coins, U.S.-made and otherwise.”
