August 9, 2012 – Only six weeks after bourse applications were initially mailed to potential booth holders, the Central States Numismatic Society 74th Anniversary Convention, scheduled for April 22-27, 2013, is approaching a sold out bourse area. Kevin Foley, long time General Chairman for the traditional Spring event, said, “Just after the 4th of July holiday, our Bourse Chairman, Jerry Lebo, received an application for the 200th of the 250 available booths. This pace of booth sign ups by our dealers is unprecedented. Our new site at the Schaumburg Renaissance Hotel and Convention Center met with the overwhelming approval of the dealer community. Their fast pace of signups for our 2013 convention, now 80% sold out within just a few weeks after bourse applications were mailed, is testimony for the enthusiastic reception Schaumburg has received. Free parking was an especially popular feature with our local attendees and caused a definite uptick in retail attendance.”
Foley added, “Our multi session Heritage Signature Sales, one focused on coins and the other specializing in rare currency, continued their market defining status this year in Schaumburg. We anticipate blockbuster sales from Heritage once again in 2013.”
