New Coin Honors the Hellenic Mathematical Society

January 10, 2019 – The Greek Ministry of Finance – General Secretariat of Fiscal Policy has announced that it authorises the Bank of Greece to dispense to the public the €6 mini silver collector coin dedicated to:“CENTENARY OF THE HELLENIC MATHEMATICAL SOCIETY – YEAR OF MATHEMATICS”.

The new collector’s coin from Greece commemorates the centenary of the Hellenic Mathematical Society.

The Hellenic Mathematical Society was founded in 1918. To this day, it works to promote the study of mathematics in Greece and regularly publishes the Bulletin of the Hellenic Mathematical Society. 

The new 6-euro-coin will be issued at a mintage of 1,500 pieces.
