1041148: Russia. Nicholas II. 1914 AR Rouble. NGC MS63. St. Petersburg. 34mm. Armored bust right / Crowned double-headed imperial eagle. Y 71. Only 317 pieces were issued through 1917, but an unknown number of restrikes were made in the 1920’s; Davenport 299; Bitkin 337 (R2); Harris 461. Struck to commemorate the 200th Anniversary of the Battle of Gangut (Hangö) over the Swedes. Very rare in this quality. $25,500

1041371: Switzerland. 1897-B AV “Stirnlocke-Vreneli” Pattern 20 Francs. PCGS SP66+. By Fritz Landry. HELVETIA. Draped bust of Helvetia left, with ‘wispy’ forelock (stirnlocke), wearing hair in braid and with garland of edelweiss over shoulders; Alps in the background / Swiss cross on shield; all over branches and between denomination. KM-Pn39; Fr.-500, HMZ-21195b, Divo Proben-35. From a mintage of just 12 pieces. The finest known example of this legendary rarity. $195,000
