July 20, 2017 – Paper Money Guaranty® (PMG®) was chosen by Jerry and Diane Fishman to authenticate and grade their rare Palestinian Currency Board banknotes.

Among the banknotes in the collection is an issued 50 Pound note from 1927 that is believed to be unique. It has been graded PMG 30 Very Fine. Other highlights include several trial banknotes with various unissued vignettes. A majority of the banknotes are the plate notes pictured in Raphael Dabbah’s “Currency Notes of the Palestine Currency Board” – widely considered to be the top reference book on Palestine mandate paper money.

“Jerry and Diane have built a phenomenal collection of specimens, color trials and proofs. We are honored to have had the opportunity to grade and encapsulate this collection,” said PMG Chairman Mark Salzberg.

The collection was submitted to PMG at the Whitman Winter Expo by Los Angeles-based dealer Phil Doudar, who represented the Fishmans. “We had planned for this submission since last June. There was never a doubt that we would turn to the experts at PMG to authenticate and grade this prestigious collection. My clients and I could not be more pleased with the results,” said Doudar.
